These terms apply to emergencyplumbingvancouver.com, our phone line 778-651-2257, and our related messages (together, the "Service"). The Service is operated by PromptlessPress Technologies Inc., a British Columbia company ("we", "us"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. What we do, and what we don’t
We are a free referral service. We take details of your plumbing job and offer them to up to 3 independent local providers. The first to accept gets your contact details and can contact you. We are not a contractor. We don’t do the work, employ the providers, set their prices, or supervise their work. Any agreement for work is between you and the provider you choose.
2. No guarantee
We don’t guarantee that a provider will accept your job, how quickly anyone will respond, or a price or result. We don’t endorse any provider. Before hiring anyone, check their licence, insurance, permits, written scope, price and warranty yourself.
3. Emergencies
The Service is not an emergency service. If there is a risk to life or property, call 9-1-1. For a gas smell, leave and call FortisBC at 1-800-663-9911. For a downed or contacted power line, stay back at least 10 metres and call BC Hydro at 1-800-224-9376.
4. Our AI phone assistant
Our phone line is answered 24/7 by an AI assistant, with voicemail if the assistant is offline. It tells you it is an AI, and calls are recorded (see our Privacy Policy). It can mishear or make mistakes, so please check the summary it reads back to you. It cannot agree prices, give professional advice or make promises on a provider’s behalf.
5. Your responsibilities
Give accurate information, only about property you own or have authority to arrange work on. Don’t submit spam, sales pitches, or anyone else’s details without their permission.
6. Fees
The Service is free for homeowners. Providers pay us a fee for jobs they accept (see our Referral Disclosure). This does not change the price a provider quotes you, because we don’t set their prices.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for the acts, omissions, work, prices, delays or damages of any provider, or for any indirect or consequential loss arising from using the Service. Our total liability to you for any claim related to the Service is limited to CAD $100. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the BC Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act that cannot be waived.

9. Changes and law
We may update these terms by posting a new version here. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
